After a decade in the trades as a qualified electrician working in the HVAC field, I chose to leave work during the school lockdowns in 2021 to homeschool my daughter.
After the schools re opened I started doing small odd jobs for friends and family to help them out and fill my time.
The more work I did for people the more horror stories I began hearing about unqualified, unskilled, and uninsured handypeople causing, sometimes quite major, problems in people’s homes.
Remembering how much I enjoy the kind of work and seeing an opening for a more professional organisation, I decided to open my own odd job and electrical company. Mainly operating by word of mouth around local schools and internet groups (such as the Northcote good karma network) Northcote Odd Job and Electrical Pty ltd quickly established itself as a trusted, local, fixture.
Wanting to operate ethically I am not interested in waiting your time and will quickly let you know if I am unwilling to go ahead with a task. However, If possible I will put you in contact with someone that can help and happily co-ordinate the job if asked.
I have tried to make all my pricing as transparent as possible. Everything is agreed on before the work begins, and during the job I endeavour to keep you as informed as possible as I go. This means you can be confident about the work completed and have a better understanding about what has been done to your own house.
From door handles to plastering or TV mounting to Electrical. Give me a call and I’ll see what we can do.
